 In an arena of constant struggle between different languages, English has always held out a prime position, portraying itself as one of the popular tools of communication. English is a widely used language today. In its spoken and written form people around the world use English to communicate with one another. English has thus structured itself as the working language in most countries. It was also the first language to be used on the Internet and only until recently have we seen the emergence of other languages such as Spanish, French, German and Chinese on the net. It is estimated that in the next few years 60% of the Internet websites will be English-based.

 Ever since the dawn of civilization man has been trying to exploit the flexibility and dynamism of language for the conduct of his day - to - day affairs. But in this attempt he has been only partially successful. Though human society has progressed with remarkable speed, the use of language for communication is still not free from ignorance, prejudice and superstition.

It has been proved time and again that communication skills are not just handy but they are critical tools for success, even survival, in real world environment. Every one stands to gain from improving his/her communication skills. To maximize the chances of landing a good job, doing well at it and making a progress through the career, aspirants should work on improvising their communication skills.
